Miss Havisham & Peeling Practical

Peeling Skin: ways to create the pealing effect on the skin;
Always apply the latex etc. underneath the base as if applied on top the effect will not work as well.

-Latex: ALWAYS check on the persons arm before applying onto the face leave a few minutes if rash or itching occurs remove and run under warm water.
Expensive but Good effect on skin layers creates a good thick pealing effect.

-Duo (eyelash glue): effective but if using a lot can be expensive as it comes in a small tube.

-PVA glue: takes a longer time to dry as works well although effect inset as good as the latex.

In this lesson we were to create our interpretations of Miss Havisham going beyond the base that we had practised last week.
We also found out our partners I have been paired with Sandra, her facial shape I was please with for creating my miss Havisham character onto her as she has very good bone structure and I can enhance this to create a very ill sunken look.
As I have discussed previously I wanted my Characterisation of miss Havisham to be based on the colour pallet of bruising create a varied tone in skin furthermore I wanted to experiment with the peeling around the mouth and nose to create the ill effect I wanted.

I was pleased with the effect of the peeling and would like to use this in my final interpretation of Miss Havisham although I feel I need to develop the rest of the face to create more of the character I visualise. Lottie suggested that for the blue tones in the skin I use reference from Sandra’s veins.
