Victorian Styles & Silhouette

After testing out ideas in class bringing in victorian elements into the hair designs i felt i needed a wider  background understanding of the Victorian hair styles, while thinking about my own ideas of how i can create a Victorian style that can portray Miss Havisham within a Silhouette.

I began Creating a Pinterest board of Victorian hair styles that inspired me: http://www.pinterest.com/milliejohns/victorian-women/

Below are some images from my Pinterest board of elements of the victorian hair that particularly stood out for development of my own design looking at exaggerated finger waves and the large front forward structure over the forehead.
I love the image on the top left i soft wave creates a romantic feel i could see this to be an element in Miss Havisham's original wedding hair style.
The other images particularly inspire me in terms of the shape and structure of the front of the hair. I feel this would look effective in the Silhouette image yet almost creates this dropping effect over the face witch could further symbolise decay.

I began further thinking about the effect that a silhouette has when creating a hairstyle using references from my collected images on Pinterest:

I realised that the main element when creating hair for a silhouette is the texture around the edge of the  outside of the main shape rather than the texture within the centre of the hair.
Below are two images that i feel represent this idea although the image on the right isn't a typical silhouette image i love the large varied shape the hair creates and the frizzed outline shows texture within the main bulk of hair something i would like to show within my own design.
