Gelatine- used in fashion and prosthetics can
either buy gelatine or melt down jelly crystals or buy the Gel Glyk from Screen
Face either do a blue colour, red and flesh – you can mix any texture into
gelatine i.e. glitter ALTHOUGH
can’t heat up metal in the microwave!!!!
Step 1: heat up the Gelatine in the microwave- NO METAL IN
THE MICROWAVE!
Think about were and when the burn was done- colours often
around the edge if there is a fire- burn come from within the skin so blend out
the colours well- Burns are always Shiny!
Step 2:Using thin layer of ripped tissue place into the area
glue over using colodian let this layer dry and build up to create texture-
hair dry to speed up the process. You can use T pins used for wigs to pick up
bits of the tissue to create rips in the skin and texture in depth.
Step 3: apply colour over the top patting on as not to pull
of the tissue applied. Apply gelatine checking before hand that its not to hot
onto the skin- Clear and red to look like blood- can further add puss or fake
blood to add more elements into the burn.
I loved this practical and really got into building the
colours using the gelatine and my supra colour pallet!
