Cut Lip, Scaring & improvisation Practical

Products;

·      Non-flexible colodian- strong alcohol smell
·      Barrier cream- Derma Shield Foam (always apply this before hand to protect the skin)
·       Don’t Use moisturiser as its greasy this under prosthetics wont stay and just slip off
·      Fixer Spray- Kryolan helps it all stay in place
·      Tuplasty- Clear gel used for old Scaring
·      Duo- lay it on dry and add another layer for peeling and shiny effect

To create something that looks as through its underneath the skin apply the colour- never in a straight line and add a flesh colour powder over the top to create the illusion as though its underneath the skin.

Creating Scared cut lips:
 Step 1: apply derma shield all over the area.

Step 2: apply the colodian making sure the model is ok to breath through there nose when applying onto the lip. Getting a scalpel press it into the skin and fold the lip around it and remove so the lip is still pressed together then hair dryer and the area making sure its not too hot for the models skin.

Step 3: when dry the skin should stick together the model will then have to be carful not to smile too much as tis will pull the skin apart. You can further then dab colour onto the area to break it up a little or adding a flesh colour powder will allow the area to blend into the skin.

Improvising with cuts and injuries:
 I decided I wanted to create a broken nose effect so I could get used to the wax previously used and build my knowledge more of the effect bruising has into the skin. I was pleased with the outcome and felt it looked very realistic in person and in the photos but I would need to apply more colour into the bruise as I used a moisturiser to create a softer colour with the bruising wheel I found after a while this was absorbed by the skin.
