Male Hair design Practical

In Seema's lesson we were taught how to create male hair, exploring what makes a male style and how you can create this with either a male or female model. We were given instructions and had to create the look on our class mates.

Instructions:
Step 1: Set up work stations make sure everything is layer out looking professional.

Step 2: Create a horse shoe section from the front all the way to the crown of the head and section out of the way.

Step 3: using the remaining section of hair create a very flat and wide french pleat manipulating the hair to look very flat against the head pinning in place and hiding all pins.

Step 4: Look at this section neatening to create clean lines texture and shape the line i.e.- side burns.

Step 5: smooth the horse shoe section create a left hand side parting and create a smooth look here you can either tuck and desquise the hair or barrel curl, finger wave, incorporate the hair in with the rest of the look.

Step 6: look the the overall style and make sure you've created a male silhouette.

I liked my style i created on Laila her hair is very short at the bottom of her head so i had trouble pinning the remaining bits of her into the french pleat to create a good tight style with all pins being hidden. I wanted to create a level so to look as though the hair was shorter around the sides i felt it worked although needed to neaten up the edges and flatten the section a little more to create more of a male silhouette.
